The opportunistic North Forsyth Middle defense took an opponent’s fumble to the house for the second straight game, providing just enough of a difference to squeak past a determined Liberty Middle squad 22-20 at North Forsyth Stadium.  North scored on the games opening drive on a 63 yard Nicki Dalmolin run, but came up short on the conversion.  On the ensuing kickoff, Liberty fumbled the return and the alert Wildcat defense took it 33 yards to the end zone.  The successful conversion made it 14-0 just three minutes into the game.  The teams traded drives of better than 70 yards each, with North successful on the two point conversion and Librty not to make it 22-6 with three minutes to go in the first half.  But Liberty went 80 yards in two and a half minutes, capping the drive with a thirty yard strike from QB Blake Whitfield and scored the deuce.  Then on the opening drive of the second half, the Patriots went 70 yards for another score, but the two point try failed to make it 22-20.  The Wildcats would misplay the ensuing kick out of bounds at their own 16 yard line, but then go 83 yards to the Patriots 1, where they’d fumble and the Patriots would recover.  They then drove to midfield, but a Wildcat interception on a Patriot 4th and 12 would end thethreat and the game.  Listen to the rollercoaster replay here:
