He’s the only dog left in the hunt. When the dust (or, more correctly, rubber chips) fell last Friday night, only one winner emerged from three first round playoff match ups between our Forsyth County schools and juggernaught Gwinnett. But what a win! The South Forsyth War Eagles beat powerhouse Norcross 20-14, and did it the way playoff teams are suuposed to. The defense shut out the Blue Devils in the second half, and accounted for a safety and a touchdown to boot. South Forsyth Head Coach Jeff Arnette joins us to talk about the ensuing celebration, the historical significance of making it into the Sweet 16, and putting it all aside to gear up for the next foe to enter the Eagle’s Lair, the Tigers of DeKalb County stalwart Tucker High.
