Yes it was a scrimmage but this time the War Eagles can take a little credit. South Forsyth’s varsity looked out of sorts just a week ago in a scoreless effort at East Forsyth. But the team did a complete turnaround Friday night at home against North Springs. From the first few seconds and an 80 yard touchdown run, South looked in control and not to be denied. Lots of young men from all three upper classes contributed to the blowout win, and a couple of Freshmen were introduced as varsity players. And it’s a good thing. South will not be fielding a Junior Varsity squad ths yer because they don’t have enough players. But those low numbers mean lots of minutes are avaialable. Listen to this recordng and see how many players contributed. This was a huge team win and a real confidence builder. Enjoy this over the Weeknd and don’t miss our next Coaches Corner posted Wednesday evening, where Coach Morris will sit down with Greg and Doug. He’ll get his chance to fill us in on how he orchestrated the biggest turnaround since my brother had to return to Cumming from Florida when he realised he forgot his wallett.
