It’s a big week for South Forsyth football as the 2026 Spring football game, the annual Blue/White Scrimmage, is set for 6:30 Friday night at War Eagle Stadium.  This year will be more of an event, says Head Football Coach James Thomson.  “We want to show off some football skills.  We have a bunch of kids who have been working extremely hard since Thanksgiving and it’s starting to show up.  But we also want to make this about family.  We’ll have food trucks and bounce houses and 7 on 7 exhibitions and punting and kicking contests and ust a lot of activity.”  We want it to be a big night for the SOFO community.” You can hear Coach’s full comments here in our Coaches Corner interview with Coach Thomson and our own Doug Thomas.  Then, if you cant be at the football stadium at the corner of Peachtree Parkway and Ronald Reagan in Cumming, Georgia, Friday night, join us when Greg Golden and Todd Spencer host our podcast.  Confirmed guests will be on hand and one is recent University of Georgia grad…Greg’s daughter Becca!   Also confirmed is War Eagle legend Ty Watkins!  (And his mom Cindy!)  Coach Thomson speaks glowingly of Ty’s little brother Will, who will be making a position switch to help the team.  Coach also speaks about a new QB arriving on the scene.  Hear it all here with Thomson and Thomas on our Coaches Corner.   An exclusive of Forsyth Sports 365!
