South Forsyth falls to 0-5 in Region 6 6A with loss to Denmark (REPLAY HERE). Now it’s on to the battle to avoid the basement next week at War Eagle Stadium vs Forsyth Central.

South Forsyth broke a nine quarter scoreless streak with a late touchdown drive at Denmark Friday night, but it wasnt enough to close the gap since Denmark had 32 on the board. This was the latest lopsided Region 6 6A loss of 2024, a season in which the opposition has seemed to be full of all-americans at every position. But it was another entertaining evening as far as the broadcast went. Greg Golden, Doug Thomas and Mike Newsome had a prime spot in the fairly new Dane press box, and with a beautiful full moon shining in through the windows, the call flowed with the high level interaction that has come to be expectded from these three semi-professional Sports Freaks.

The best seats in the house. Our field mic is on pot 3. When there are three of us I have to stack the plugs for the headset phones. There’s two there on the second level right.
We got here plenty early because we thought we might be crowded upstairs and Doug and Mike wanted to be sure we were in on any decisions made regarding who went where.. But there was plenty of room and the guys had great interaction with the announcer, his staff, and the press box official.
