South Forsyth’s football program has set the bar high locally, leading the way for the county’s emergence into Georgia big school football.  One of the reasons for their success is the consistency of the coaching staff.  Head coach Jeff Arnett and Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach Troy Morris have been at South together nine years, and had similar positions together at a couple of prior stops.  Defensive Coordinator Trevor Williams joined them at South six years ago, and the results speak for themselves.

We usually spend some time with Coach Arnette in this space, talking about the state of the team approaching the next game.  When a personal matter came up for him that would interrupt our routine, I suggested we interview the coordinators.  Coach Arnette was quick to agree, and with enthusiasm!  “That’s a great idea!”  he shouted.  “Those two do a great job.  They deserve it!  Let’s get ’em on!”

So here you go,  our exclusive interviews with the OC and DC at South Forsyth High. Two men who have helped this school rise to the top of Forsyth County football, and into the annual conversation of the best programs in the state at the highest level.  As you listen, you’ll hear some of the same thoughts, particularly regarding the value of each game, and the importance of taking them one at a time.  It’s almost like they were able to practice answering the question before hand.  “There are only ten of them guaranteed, so each one…”

We’ll let you hear the full answer for yourself.  Enjoy!
