North Forsyth and Forsyth Central met in the county’s oldest rivalry, with Central taking the varsity match 14-7, and North the JV quarter 14-0, and Freshman stint 6-0. In the first half, Forsyth Central’s Varsity squad showed the ability to sustain long drives on the ground and through the air. A 90 yard scoring drive, all on the ground, was followed by an 80 yarder on swing passes. Meanwhile, the defense showed the ability to fill the gaps and a nose for the ball. North Forsyth stayed on the ground most of the night and benefitted from strong efforts out of their “pistol-bone” offense.
