In an exciting, high scoring contest, South Forsyth was eliminated from the 2025 playoffs in a narrow loss to Forsyth Central. This marks the third straight year thar the War Eagles missed the playoffs. Proor to that, South Forsyth had appeared in a county record 11 straight.
It was a highly entertaining game, with Todd Spencer, who has a son on the team, amd DougThomas, who had one ten years ago, really put their hearts into this ine as South tried to avoid the celler under first year head coach James Thomson. It’s the finest group of kid’s I’ve coached, Thomson has said more than once. A win over Lambert next week at south would make the season in the big rivalry mtchup.
