Denmark High, anticipating an eventual increase in student population, pled their case to move up to Class 7A and the GHSA agreed. The Danes, who were slated as a 6A team in a region with Buford, Duluth and Lanier, petitioned the Georgia High School Association to move up and won. Denmark will now join its sister schools Forsyth Central, Lambert, North Forsyth, South Forsyth, West Forsyth, and renegade Gainesville in the new Region 6, Class 7A.
