It took longer than expected, and a couple of defensive touchdowns, but South Forsyth finally put away a pesky Forsyth Central squad 43-10 to secure a berth in the 2017 Class 7A state playoffs. Despite their winless record, Central played South tough and straight up, including a four down goal line stand to end the first quarter. But South, playing under the direction of QB Drew Morris, the younger brother of starter and Senior Captain Cal, proved to be worthy of their lofty rankings.
