Football season 2020 begins June 8th in Georgia. There is a lot to think about given the long list of rules and regulations set forth in the face of Covid-19. Somebody has to have been ahead of this opening date announcement, right? I mean, who’s going to prep all the equipment, ensure that the physicals are taken, and see to it that the parents have a pipeline for all the info they’ll need to help their student athletes get back into practicing safely and soundly.

Who?

At South Forsyth High School in Cumming, Georgia, it’s #besttrainerever. That’s who. Diane King.

Coach King is entering her twelfth season as South’s trainer. That’s one more year than the dean of Forsyth County coaches, South’s Jeff Arnett. She has overseen some of the best athletes Forsyth County has ever produced, and not just football players. Diane is the head trainer for every sport at South, And she loves her job.

Preparing for the opening of the fall sports pre season provides the perfect time to sit down with Diane and get some inside information that is both beneficial and imperative for anybody who is associated with athletics at any Georgia high school. If you want to know what lies ahead, here is the person that can share some important insight.
