Coaches Corner: South Forsyth looking for 12th straight playoff qualifying season; Greg out for the West game.

  • South Forsyth took a drubbing last Friday Night at Lambert.   I say this  because Ive watched a lot football, and that Lambert team might’ve been  the fastest — the definition of which includes quick —  Ive ever seen.   They knew exactly where to be from the snap, in all three phases   It was very impressive   Three years ago  grandparents in the Longhorn family were telling me the football program was dead.   They were 0-10 and there was a lack of interest    Today  9-0 and playing Milton Friday night for the perfect season.   Well congratulations to them.
South Forsyth, meanwhile, is  playing for third in Region 6AAAAAAA.   The group tees off against Region 5 – AAAAAAA in the first round.   South is looking for its FOCO record setting12th straight playoff appearance  We’ll talk to Coach Morris.  Meanwhole, our own Greg Golden will have to sit it out do to a recurrence of a leg injury.  It’s Greg’s first non covid related miss since Greg and Doug Thomas and the SFTDC teamed up to do SouthForsyth football games six seasons ago.  So Mike Newsome will slide over and handle the host/play by play duties    Mike will partner up with a guy…no, some guys…who are no strangers to War Eagle sports.  Who?  Well, youll have to listen!  It’s all inside this week’s Coaches Corner, below.  Exclusively on Forsyth Sports 365.com
