It’s our pleasure each week to hang out  on the Coaches Corner with Troy Morris, the head football coach at South Forsyth High.  It’s even better when he gets a big win.  Last Friday’s huge effort in Athens, which resulted in a 41-34 victory, still had coach charged up.  The guys review the game drive by drive, beginning with Gladiator quarterback Lucien Anderson III’s 80 yard touchdown run on the game’s first play, to the War Eagles splendid defensive finish with back to back sacks of Anderson III that forced Clarke Central to kick the ball away with under two minutes left.   They wouldn’t see it again.
if you like announcers screaming into the microphone because the excitement  is beyond their capability to contain themselves, this game is for you.
Below that is our pregame interview Friday night in the booth with UGA legend Buck Belue   It was Buck ‘s first time back in the stadium where, as a Senior quarterback, he led his 1977 Valdosta team into the State Championship game against the recently formed Clarke Central squad   His recollection of that night, within twenty yards of the place Valdosta parked their school busses, is worth the time.
