South Forsyth’s Troy Morris was a happy camper after a shutout win over Forsyth Central in the Region 6/7A regular season finale Friday Night at Central.  The score was 34-0 at halftime, and the War Eagles ran the clock in the second half and played everybody who was healthy.   “That’s a great way to go into the playoffs”, said the first year head coach.   “We’re going to need that defense this week.”

Morris is referring, of course, to the first round matchiup with North Gwinnett, the school’s opponent in the season opening scrimmage at South.

Yogi Berra, anybody?   “It’s deja vu all over again.”

In this week’s edition of the Coaches Corner, Coach Morris joins Greg Golden and Doug Thomas ahead of the 2021 GHSA football playoff first rounder Friday night in, deja vu, War Eagle Stadium.   All is revealed, including the fact that both teams are a little different now than in August.   Check it out here:
