South Forsyth’s record breaking season will continue following a memorable 20-14 first round playoff win over Gwinnett County heavyweight Norcross (7-4), South’s first playoff win since beating Rome in 2003. The War Eagles improved to a best ever 10-1 on the year and will play Tucker (8-3), who beat Langston Hughes (6-5) 38-28 on Saturday, 11/14. This podcast includes not only the exciting game, but interviews with South Forsyth parent and spotter Doug Thomas, War Eagles Head Coach Jeff Arnette, and Forsyth County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jeff Beardon. It began and ended as a festive night on Peachtree Parkway, and you can listen to the REPLAY here: South Forsyth eliminates Norcross
The other playoff games involving Forsyth County Schools ended in defeats to Gwinnett County schools. West Forsyth (7-4) scored first, but was overwhelmed by Peachtree Ridge (8-3), 51-3.
