South Forsyth’s win over Forsyth Central last Friday night, the War Eagle’s 10th in the last 11 years over the Bulldog’s, locked in a spot for South in the 2019 GHSA Class 7A High School playoffs. It’s the county leading sixth straight season South has made an appearance in the post season. In last week’s Coach’s Corner, Head Coach Jeff Arnette admitted the continuation of that streak was a big motivator going in to the game.
In this week’s chat, Coach Arnette joins Greg Golden and Doug Thomas to look back on the big win over Central, and ahead to this week’s Big Game at West Forsyth. The trio cover a lot of ground, including a look at the growing intensity of this rivalry, how it’s affecting post game crowds at area all night diners, and a look back at a famous play in this rivalry that cost South an undefeated season in 2015.
