It hasn’t happened before and it might not again, but it happened Thursday Night. South Forsyth Head Football Coach Jeff Arnette left the halftime speeches to the assistants and climbed the bleachers to join us in the pressbox. You might imagine that having the head coach stop by during the broadcast would be pretty special, and it was. Usually the head coach is in front of the white board drawing up plays at halftime. In this game, however, a glorified intrasquad scrimmage, there were plenty of voices in the locker room, so Coach Arnette made his first appearance EVER in the booth during a game.
And it was awesome.
