24 points from Conner Mannion and 23 from Ross Morkem weren’t enough as Campbell beat Lambert 70-65 to advance to the Sweet 16 in the GHSA AAAAAA tournament.  The Spartans double teamed the third member of Lambert’s 3 Migos, point guard Andrew Melms, to force a few turnovers and hold him under his scoring average.  Senior guards Lazarus Walker and Mike Olmert scored 23 and 15 to lead Campbell, and they got a timely performance from Junior forward Jomiah Dunham, who scored twelve points with 12 rebounds.  The Spartans move on to play Milton, a 56-54 winner over Tifton, in the quarefinals at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton.  Lambert and Head Coach Scott Brocca will reflect on one of the finest seasons in Forsyth County history;  27-3 overall, undefeated in Region 6 AAAAAA, regular season and tourney champs.  Ross Morkem will play next season at North Georgia, while Region 6 Player of the Year and tournament MVP Connor Mannion will head to Annapolis to begin his career with the Naval Academy.  Listen to the disappointing but thrilling contest in the REPLAY HERE:
