Above is our first Coaches Corner of 2023. South Forsyth Head football Coach Troy Morris welcomes me and Doug Thomas into the Fieldhouse. You can tell we’re a little excited to get back into it. Four big announcements:
1- It’ll be great to see who steps up to tote the rock. And Coach says QB Cade Aiken can run too. “He’s no statue. He’s definitely more mobile than Brady”
2 – Coach Jeff Arnette is back on the staff as defensive coordinator. So Butch and Sundance are back together and kinda just switching roles. Coach Arnette was at the Fieldhouse today and it was great to see him.
3 – Were going to try something different in the booth too. It is Spring after all. I’ll still host the program but on the call Mike Newsome will do the play by play and Ill slide over to color. Mike. Did a terrific job calling the final couple of games last season on the call covering for an ailing me and I just wanna see how we sound together. I think we’ll be great cause, as I’ ve said many times and it’s proven true, I make everybody sound good.
And #4, congratulations to Chris Nelson. Chris won the Georgia state 7a title in the 200 meters for the third year in a row. He also finally won the 100 after missing by a lean margin the past two years. We talk anout him
